Description
The best Grilled Jalapeno Poppers With Bacon recipe. Spicy peppers stuffed with cream cheese and BBQ. Perfect appetizer for a party, tailgate, or casual fare.
Ingredients
- 9 Fresh Jalapenos
- 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- ¼ cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 9 slices Bacon, Cut In Half
- BBQ Sauce
Preparation
Cut each jalapeno in half lengthwise and then spoon out the seeds and membranes. Note: If you are doing a lot of poppers, invest into rubber gloves (you will thank me!). And whatever you do, do not touch your face or eyes with your hands after they have been cutting and seeding jalapenos. Don’t ask how I know.
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese.
Stuff each jalapeno half with the cream cheese mixture. Wrap with a bacon slice and secure with a toothpick.
Grill on low heat or bake in the oven at 275ºF for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until te bacon is cooked and cheese has melted. In the last 15–20 minutes of cooking time, brush poppers with your favorite bbq sauce.
Delicious served warm or at room temperature.
