- ½ cups Sweet Onion, Minced
- 1 Egg, Beaten
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- Vegetable Oil, For Frying
- FOR THE GRAVY:
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 1-½ cup Beef Broth
- 2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- FOR SERVING:
- 2 cups Cooked White Rice, Hot Or Warm
- 4 Eggs, Cooked Sunny Side Up
Preparation
Combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper together and form patties. Heat some oil in a pan and fry until desired doneness. Transfer to a plate.
Now we will make the gravy. Use the same pan, scraping up the bits of the meat. Melt butter and whisk in the flour. Whisk continually until you get a light-brown mixture. Now add the broth slowly, once again whisking continually until it is combined with the flour-butter mixture. Bring to a boil and add the Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes and season to taste.
Serve beef patties over the cooked white rice and top each one of them with an egg. Pour the gravy over.
