Description
This simple granola is infinitely customizeable to your taste. Switch up the dried fruit, nuts, or get crazy with extract flavors to make it your own! I like it with 1 cup of fruit and 1/2 cup yogurt for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- ⅓ cups Sliced Almonds
- ¼ cups Shredded Coconut
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Canola Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 pinch Salt
- ½ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 dash Cinnamon
- ¾ cups Mixed, Chopped Dried Fruit (Apricots, Raisins, Cranberries, Etc)
Preparation
Mix up everything but the fruit on a baking sheet. Spread it in a thin layer, and bake at 325ºF for 20 minutes, mixing it around halfway through. You want it to be golden brown. Once you smell it from the other room, it’s basically done. Let it cool, mix it with the fruit, and you have yourself some rockin’ granola.
Other possible add-ins: chocolate chips, other nuts like walnuts, macadamias, cashews, pecans, and other dried fruits like banana or apple chips.
