Horseradish Meatloaf with Fresh Herbs

A fall family favorite meal with a unique twist!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef (90%). (Ground Turkey Can Be Substituted)
  • ½  Large Sweet Onion, Diced
  • ¼ cups Fresh Oregano, Washed And Chopped
  • ¼ cups Fresh Basil, Washed And Chopped
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ⅔ cups Crushed Saltine Crackers
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Pure Horseradish
  • 1 Tablespoon Spicy Hot Mustard
  • ⅛ cups Brown Sugar
  • ⅛ cups Honey Barbecue Sauce

Preparation

Heat oven to 350ºF.

Place ground beef or turkey in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients except barbecue sauce. Mix thoroughly. Place in 9 x 13 inch baking dish and shape into a loaf. Glaze with barbecue sauce.

Bake at 350ºF for 1 1/4 hour or until meat thermometer inserted in center of loaf registers 180ºF.
