A fall family favorite meal with a unique twist!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef (90%). (Ground Turkey Can Be Substituted)
- ½ Large Sweet Onion, Diced
- ¼ cups Fresh Oregano, Washed And Chopped
- ¼ cups Fresh Basil, Washed And Chopped
- 1 whole Egg
- ⅔ cups Crushed Saltine Crackers
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Pure Horseradish
- 1 Tablespoon Spicy Hot Mustard
- ⅛ cups Brown Sugar
- ⅛ cups Honey Barbecue Sauce
Preparation
Heat oven to 350ºF.
Place ground beef or turkey in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients except barbecue sauce. Mix thoroughly. Place in 9 x 13 inch baking dish and shape into a loaf. Glaze with barbecue sauce.
Bake at 350ºF for 1 1/4 hour or until meat thermometer inserted in center of loaf registers 180ºF.
