Description

This Hot Buttered Rum Batter Recipe made in a crockpot with ice cream is the perfect hot drink mix for Christmas. It even makes a great DIY gift idea!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Vanilla Ice Cream, Softened
  • ¼ cups Butter, Softened
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Powdered Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg

Preparation

In a small mixing bowl, cream together vanilla ice cream, butter, and brown sugar. Stir in powdered sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Pour mixture into small jars and keep in the refrigerator up to 2 months.

To make a hot buttered rum drink:
To a mug, add 2-3 tablespoons of Hot Buttered Rum Batter to a heatproof mug. Pour in 6 ounces boiling water. Stir to dissolve batter. Add in 1/2 to 1 ounce of your favorite rum. Stir to combine. Add a dollop of whipped cream and a dash of ground cinnamon.
