Frozen meets steamy in this hot chocolate ice cream mash-up! The perfect blend of creamy, rich hot chocolate and refreshing peppermint ice cream.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 3-½ ounces, weight Semi-sweet Chocolate, Chopped
- 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 Tablespoons Rum
- 2 Scoops Peppermint Ice Cream
Preparation
Combine milk, chocolate, brown sugar, and cinnamon stick in a medium sauce pan. Gently heat the mixture over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until hot. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and rum. Add additional rum if desired to taste.
Remove cinnamon stick. Pour hot chocolate into mugs and top each one with a scoop of peppermint ice cream. Serve immediately.
