Delicious, easy homemade healthy hummus.
Ingredients
- 15 ounces, weight Canned Garbanzo Beans
- 2 Tablespoons Tahini Paste
- 3 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder, Or Fresh Garlic
- 1 pinch Black Pepper
- ⅓ cups Water
- Sumac Powder, For Garnish
Preparation
1. Drain the beans and keep the water for later.
2. Add all of the ingredients together in a food processor or blender.
3. Make it smooth! I had to tweak it to my liking. Some like more tahini, but I personally like less, and more lemon.
4. If it’s too thick for you, add some of the liquid from the bean can.
5. Serve however you like! We kinda like it cold, room temperature and warm. Sprinkle the traditional sumac powder on. You can find it in most Indian/Asian groceries.
