Description
Delicious, quick and easy. Oh, and it costs way less than the coffee shop’s version.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Boiling Water
- ½ cups Instant Coffee Granules
- ¼ cups Coffee Syrup (optional: You Can Also Substitute Your Favorite Creamer)
- 1-¼ cup Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Whipped Cream, For Garnish (optional)
Preparation
Note: Prep and cook times include boiling the water. This recipe takes next to no time to mix together—it is that easy!
Mix all ingredients (boiling water through sugar) together in a heat safe bowl or pitcher. Let it cool, then store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
To serve: Mix 1/4 cup of the coffee mixture with 1 cup milk. Then add crushed ice and whipped cream as desired. I also like to swirl chocolate syrup on top for added garnish.
I like to use decaf instant coffee for this because my daughters absolutely love this drink. They aren’t big milk drinkers, so this is just another way for me to get a little more milk into them.
The downside to them drinking it is that then I don’t get to drink it all!
My favorite thing about this mixture is that after it’s mixed, I can store it in my fridge and pull it out anytime and have an iced coffee. Perfect for a hot summer day!
