Description

A delicious alternative to the regular hot matcha latte. If you are new to matcha, I would recommend adding the honey for a great first impression. This recipe is super easy, requiring only a mason jar to make!

Ingredients

  • ½ Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Hot Water
  • 1 teaspoon Matcha
  • 1 cup Milk

Preparation

Simple syrup: Add honey and hot water to a mason jar and stir well. Make sure water is not boiling or this will cause the matcha to become bitter.

Sift matcha with a small mesh strainer or sieve into the jar. Whisk into a smooth paste.

Pour milk to the 1-cup line, put a tight lid on the jar, and shake well. Add ice to the 1 1/2-cup line and drink right away. If you want to be absolutely sure there are no pesky matcha balls hanging out, let it settle for a few moments before drinking.
