Description
Indian spiced nuts that have a sweet and sticky glaze. A perfect snack.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
- ½ cups Water
- 3 cups Plain Cashews
- 1-½ Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Curry Powder
- ½ teaspoons Cumin Powder
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325ºF.
In a skillet over medium heat, add butter and sugar. Toss in the water and nuts and cook for about 7 minutes. You want the water to pretty much evaporate, and the butter and sugar to caramelize the nuts. Toss the nuts so they don’t burn. Adjust the heat as necessary to keep them from burning.
Once you have a great glaze on those cashews, remove from heat and transfer them to a large bowl (or whatever holds the amount of cashews). Add spices and toss well, or use a spoon to make sure the glaze and spice gets all over those nuts.
Line a baking sheet, or a cast iron skillet, with parchment paper and layer the spiced cashews. Place into the oven and cook for about 12–15 minutes or until they look delicious and you cannot wait any longer.
