Description
Adapted from a BHG recipe, this delicious drink is perfect for 4th of July celebrations!
Ingredients
- 3-½ cups Water, Divided Use
- ¾ cups Sugar Or Splenda
- 2 cups Chopped Watermelon
- 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
Preparation
Bring 3 cups water and the sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat, stirring occasionally. Remove saucepan from heat, allowing the syrup mixture to cool.
Meanwhile, puree the chopped watermelon in a blender or food processor with the remaining 1/2 cup water.
Pour syrup and watermelon puree through a strainer into a pitcher. Stir in lemon juice. Serve over ice.
