Description
This works as a dressing or a dipping sauce; serve over mixed greens or on the side of a platter of wings.
Ingredients
- 5 ounces, weight Blue Cheese Crumbles
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 Tablespoon Finely Chopped Italian Parsley
- 2 Tablespoons Finely Sliced Chives
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Zest
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Creamy Horseradish
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
Preparation
In a small bowl, combine the blue cheese crumbles, minced garlic, parsley, and chives. Use a fork to mix well and break up the cheese. Add lemon zest and lemon juice. Add all remaining ingredients and stir well. The cheese makes this sauce prone to saltiness; add salt sparingly and taste often. Pepper, however, is just dandy—add as much as you can stand!
Serve over a salad, or as an accompaniment to spicy chicken wings.
