    Description

A great slushy drink that my grandma always makes for the holidays. A festive drink, for any occasion.

    Ingredients

    • 4 cups Water, Divided
    • ⅞ cups White Granulated Sugar
    • 6 ounces, weight Frozen Orange Juice
    • 6 ounces, weight Frozen Lemonade
    • ½ pints Lime Vodka
    • 1 cup Tea, Prepared (Lipton)
    • 4 drops Green Food Coloring

    Preparation

Boil 1 cup water and 7/8 cup sugar until dissolved. To that, add the orange juice, lemonade, lime vodka, prepared tea, remaining 3 cups water, and food coloring.

Put the mixture in a large container with a lid (I usually use a 5-qt ice cream bucket that has been cleaned out), place it in the freezer, and stir the mixture occasionally while it freezes.

To serve, place 2 scoops of the mixture into a glass and add your favorite lemon-lime beverage, such as 7-up, Sprite, or Sierra Mist.
