Description
A classic lemonade recipe for those warm days spent lazing in the sunshine.
Ingredients
- 10 whole Large Ripe Lemons
- 7 ounces, weight Caster Sugar
- 2 cups, 8 tablespoons, 1-⅔ teaspoons, 1 pinches Still Mineral Water
- Ice Cubes
- Additional Still Or Sparkling Mineral Water, To Dilute
- Mint, To Garnish
- Lemon (to Garnish)
Preparation
Wash the lemons and grate the zest into a bowl.
Next, squeeze the lemons of all of their juice.
Pour the 600ml of water into a saucepan and add the lemon zest, lemon juice and caster sugar.
Stir gently on a medium heat until all of the sugar has dissolved.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Pour lemon mixture into a glass jug, cover and leave on a windowsill to cool.
Once cool, pour into glasses half full with ice cubes and add still or sparkling mineral water to dilute as desired.
Garnish with sprigs of mint and lemon.
