Description

Chocolate chip cookie bars made with malted milk powder. These are super buttery, chewy and soft! A perfect cookie in bar form.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cups Malted Milk Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1  Large Egg
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Line a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper and spray with baking spray. Set aside.

In the bowl of your stand mixer (or with a handheld mixer), beat together butter, sugars, malted milk powder and vanilla until creamy, about 2 minutes. Beat in egg until incorporated.

In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to wet mixture and beat until combined. Stir in chocolate chips with a rubber spatula, until chocolate is evenly distributed.

Press cookie dough into prepared baking pan. Bake for about 25 minutes until bars look golden brown on top. Cool bars in the pan on a cooling rack for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
