Description
These sweet, savory, healthy meatballs are bursting with flavor!
Ingredients
- ½ whole Yellow Onion
- ½ whole Gala Apple
- 3 strips Turkey Bacon
- 16 ounces, weight Lean Ground Turkey (94-99%)
- ¾ cups Whole Oats
- 1 Tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
In a large food processor, chop yellow onion, apple, and turkey bacon strips. Add remaining ingredients and pulse until combined.
Spray a large skillet with cooking spray, and heat on medium-high heat. Using a 1-tablespoon measuring spoon or similar-sized cookie dough scoop, form turkey mixture into balls. Drop the balls onto the skillet and brown all sides of the meatballs, turning them over until they have formed a nice browned outer crust.
Line a 13″x9″ baking sheet with parchment paper. Place all of the turkey meatballs onto the baking sheet, and bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
Enjoy on a salad, with pasta, or as-is!
