Description
This maple bourbon broiled salmon is so flavorful and incredibly simple! It can be on the table in less than 15 minutes with a side of quinoa.
Ingredients
- 4 whole (6 Oz. Size) Salmon Fillets, Skin Removed
- Salt And Cracked Black Pepper, To Taste
- ¼ cups Maple Syrup
- 1 Tablespoon Bourbon
- ½ teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- ½ teaspoons Ground Mustard
Preparation
Preheat oven broiler to high and line a sheet tray with aluminum foil. Lay out salmon fillets on the sheet tray and season with salt and pepper. Broil for about 4 minutes. This will vary depending on how thick the fillets are cut. If they are fairly thin, check them after 2 minutes. They should be halfway cooked through when you take them out.
While salmon broils, stir maple syrup, bourbon, smoked paprika and ground mustard together thoroughly in a bowl.
Take fillets out after the first round of broiling and brush very generously with maple bourbon mixture. Put back into the broiler to finish cooking for another 4 minutes or so. Again, this depends on how thick the fillets are.
Plate with a salad and cooked quinoa for a tasty, complete and healthy meal!
