Description

This recipe combines the sweet flavor of maple syrup with tangy Dijon mustard to create a chicken dish that’s like nothing you’ve ever tasted.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Canola Oil
  • 4 whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • ¼ cups Italian Breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cups Chicken Broth
  • ¼ cups Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Thyme
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Melt butter and add canola oil to a skillet over medium heat. Dredge each side of chicken breasts in breadcrumbs and add to pan. Sauté chicken for about 3 minutes each side and remove from the pan.

Place chicken in oven and continue to cook until chicken is crispy, about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk together chicken broth, maple syrup, garlic, thyme, Dijon mustard and apple cider vinegar. Add to skillet and bring to a simmer. Allow to thicken and reduce.

Plate cooked chicken breasts and spoon sauce over chicken.
