Description

Winter berries, granola, and maple syrup come together for a little yogurt parfait party.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 2% Greek Yogurt (I Used Plain)
  • ½ whole Banana
  • ¼ cups Blackberries
  • ¼ cups Pomegranate Arils
  • ¼ cups Kashi Go Lean Crunch Honey Almond Flax Cereal
  • 2 teaspoons Maple Syrup

Preparation

You can do this one of two ways, depending on your personality. If you like things organized, work in layers, starting with half of the Greek yogurt and moving on with half of the sliced banana, blackberries, pomegranate arils, granola, and maple syrup. Then repeat with the remaining ingredients. You end up with a pretty winter parfait that is just as nice to look at as it is to eat.

I’m all for organization and esthetics, but I hate fighting through the layers to get a little bit of every ingredient in one spoonful. I’m all about functionality when it comes to breakfast. I prefer to scoop all of the Greek yogurt into a bowl and then top with all of the topping ingredients. Which, in my opinion, is still pretty. And much less frustrating.
