Description

I called these Matcha Brownies, but I could have called them Matcha Blondies or Matcha Snack Cake. Doesn’t really matter what you call them— matcha (green tea powder) is full of antioxidants, so use that as an excuse to make these tasty treats.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups All-purpose Flour
  • ¼ cups High Quality Matcha (green Tea Powder)
  • ¼ teaspoons Fine Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 8 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2  Large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF and spray an 8-inch square metal cake pan with Baker’s Joy.

In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, matcha (green tea powder), salt, and baking powder; set aside. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a BeaterBlade attachment, cream the butter and sugar until fully incorporated. Add eggs and vanilla and mix completely. Add the flour mixture and mix just until no traces of flour remain.

Pour batter into prepared pan and spread into an even layer. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting with a serrated knife.
