Delicious mini heart apple pies. Perfect for fall!
Ingredients
- 1 Pre-made Pie Dough
- 5 Apples, Peeled And Chopped
- ½ cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Egg White, Beaten
- Brown Sugar, For Sprinkling
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450ºF.
Roll out pie dough on a floured surface. Cut out dough in desired shapes.
In a medium bowl, mix apples, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Take one pie cutout and fill with a teaspoon or so of filling. Place a second cutout on top and crimp edges together with a fork. Cut 2 to 3 small slits on top of each pie.
Brush beaten egg white on top of each little pie. Sprinkle each pie with a little bit of brown sugar. Place pies on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 10–12 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
