Nutty, not-to-sweet granola, perfect for starting your day in a healthy way.
Ingredients
- 6 cups Rolled Oats, Divided Use
- 2 cups Whole, Raw Almonds
- 2 cups Pecan Pieces
- 1 cup Raw Hulled Sunflower Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoons Ground Ginger
- ⅓ teaspoons Salt
- ¾ cups Unsweetened Applesauce
- ½ cups Agave
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
Preparation
Stir together 5 cups oats, nuts, sunflower seeds, spices, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the applesauce, agave, and oil. Mix together the two mixtures and pour into two rimmed baking sheets. Bake at 300ºF for about an hour and a half, stirring every 10 or 15 minutes, until golden brown. It will still feel slightly moist but will crisp up as it cools. Remove granola from oven and stir in remaining oats.
When cool, transfer to jars and store.
