Description
Tasty beef stir fry with the addition of orange to give it that little extra flavour. This dinner recipe is very easy, and the addition of some vegetables really gives it a little more crunch!
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 1 whole Red Pepper, Sliced
- 1 whole Yellow Pepper, Sliced
- 1 head Broccoli, Separated Into Florets
- ¾ pounds, 1-¼ ounces, weight Sliced Beef
- 1 whole Orange, Zest And Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 3-⅝ ounces, weight Basmati Rice, Cooked, To Serve
Preparation
In a saucepan, add oil and heat. Once hot, add chopped onions and stir until translucent. Add sliced peppers and broccoli and continue to cook over medium heat, continuing to stir to prevent vegetables from sticking to the pan.
In another saucepan, add beef and cook until brown all over. Remove from heat.
In a bowl, mix orange zest and juice, soy sauce, honey and garlic. Place sauce in a saucepan and reduce until thick.
Stir beef in with the vegetables. Add sauce and mix until everything is coated with the sauce.
Put cooked rice on a plate and top with the stir fry. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the top.
