Description

Pancake is one of the most popular breakfast item in American culture. It is easy to make and tastes good. I like to eat pancakes especially on the weekend. But I don’t use the pancake mix found in the market. I make it from scratch, with flour. My little sister asked me to post about the way I do it and here it is.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Melted Butter
  • 1 whole Egg
  • Fresh Strawberries, For Topping
  • Syrup, For Topping

Preparation

In a bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, salt, sugar and baking powder). Set aside.

In another bowl, combine together milk, melted butter and egg. Pour dry ingredients into the milk mixture. Mix until the whole mixture is smooth and well-combined.

Heat a nonstick pan or griddle over medium heat. Lightly oil the pan or griddle.

Pour 3 to 4 tablespoons of batter on the pan. Use the back of a spoon to shape the pancake round. Cook until the surface of the pancake has some bubbles, 1 to 2 minutes. Flip pancake with the help of a spatula.

Cook until the pancake is golden brown. Top with strawberries and syrup; pancake is ready to serve.
