Description

Great appetizer to serve at your New Year’s party (or any other party) together with crackers, chips or baguette. Easy and impressive snack!

I have three options for you to choose from:

1. Goat cheese, dried figs and walnuts
2. Blue cheese, dates and pomegranate seeds
3. Mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, basil and pine nuts

Ingredients

  • FOR THE GOAT CHEESE, FIG AND WALNUT CHEESE BALL:
  • ⅔ cups Cream Cheese
  • 3 ounces, weight Soft Goat Cheese
  • ¼ cups Dried Figs, Chopped
  • Salt And Black Pepper
  • ⅓ cups Chopped Walnuts
  • FOR THE BLUE CHEESE, DATE AND POMEGRANATE CHEESE BALL:
  • 3 ounces, weight Blue Cheese
  • ⅔ cups Cream Cheese
  • ¼ cups Dried Dates, Chopped
  • 1 Pomegranate, Deseeded
  • FOR THE MOZZARELLA, TOMATO, BASIL AND PINE NUT CHEESE BALL:
  • ⅔ cups Cream Cheese
  • 3 ounces, weight Ground Mozzarella
  • ¼ cups Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Chopped Basil
  • Salt And Black Pepper
  • ⅓ cups Chopped Pine Nuts
  • Crackers, Fresh Baguette Or Chips To Serve

Preparation

For the goat cheese, dried figs and walnuts:
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, soft goat cheese, dried figs, a pinch of salt and black pepper. Take a tablespoon of this mixture and form a ball with your wet hands. It’s useful to keep a bowl with water to dip your fingers in after every ball. Roll each ball in chopped walnuts to cover. Serve with crackers, fresh baguette or chips. Enjoy!

For the blue cheese and pomegranate seeds:
Break blue cheese with a fork and combine with cream cheese and chopped dates in a bowl. Take a tablespoon of this mixture and form a ball with your wet hands. It’s useful to keep a bowl with water to dip your fingers in after every ball. Roll each ball in pomegranate seeds to cover. Serve with crackers, fresh baguette or chips. Enjoy!

For the mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, basil and pine seeds:
