Description
A fruity sangria using both white and red wine
Ingredients
- 1 cup Orange Juice
- 4 cups Cranberry Juice
- ¼ cups Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- 1 bottle Dry White Wine, 750 Ml
- 1 bottle Dry Red Wine, 750 Ml
- 4 whole Oranges
- 3 whole Lemons
- 3 whole Limes
- 1 bottle Lemon-lime Soda, 1 Liter Bottle, To Taste
Preparation
Stir the sugar and ginger into the juices until it is disolved.
Combine the wines in either a punch bowl or very large pitcher. Add the juice/sugar mixture and stir.
Wash and then slice the citrus fruit and drop into the liquid mixture. Stir.
Add lemon-lime soda to taste (I usually add the soda directly to the serving glass–2/3 sangria, 1/3 soda).
Serve over lots of ice.
Note: If you want the sangria more diluted you can add up to 6 cups of cranberry juice– if you do this, add an additional 2 Tablespoons of sugar. Otherwise, stick with 4 cups of juice.
This is very easily doubled or tripled. For parties, mix the juices and sugar in a pitcher and keep them in the fridge–then when it’s time to replenish the punch bowl it is easy to add the juice with the wine.
Also, servings are approximate–it depends on the size of your glass!
