Description
It’s boozy, citrusy and refreshing. Make it in a pitcher for your friends and they will love you.
Ingredients
- 1-½ cup Sugar
- 3-½ cups Water, Divided
- 1 cup Roughly Chopped Fresh Basil
- 2 cups Peach Vodka
- 1 cup Fresh Lime Juice (from 8-10 Limes)
- Ice
- Lime Wheels And Basil Leaves, For Garnish (optional)
Preparation
First, prepare the basil syrup. You’re basically going to make a really sweet tea. Combine the sugar and 1 1/2 cups water in a saucepan and stir until sugar is dissolved and solution is near boiling. Remove from heat, add basil and let steep for 30-45 minutes. Strain and let cool. (Note: If you want your syrup to last longer than normal, add 1/4 cup regular vodka and store it in the fridge.)
After you prepare the syrup, combine 1 cup of syrup, the remaining 2 cups water and the rest of the ingredients with ice in a pitcher. Garnish with lime wheels and basil leaves as desired.
