I’m all about quick and easy meals and this recipe for Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches with garlic aioli is a definite favorite!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE AIOLI:
  • ¼ cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Pressed
  • FOR THE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK:
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 pound Boneless Chuck Steak Thinly Sliced
  • 1 whole Red Pepper, Sliced
  • 1 whole Onion, Sliced
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 4 whole Hoagie Rolls (I Used Great Grains Cheddar Cheese)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (colby Jack Or White Cheddar)

Preparation

Preheat broiler.

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and garlic. Set aside until ready to serve.

In a large cast iron skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Add sliced steak and cook for 3 minutes each side or until medium rare. Season with salt and pepper and transfer to a plate.

Add peppers and onions to skillet and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Turn heat off and add steak back to pan and mix with veggies.

To assemble, spread garlic mayonnaise inside each hoagie roll. Top with steak and veggie filling and shredded cheese. Place on a baking sheet and bake in preheated broiler until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
