This recipe has a funny name, but these pepper bites will FLY off your platter at your next get together.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces, weight Softened Cream Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- ½ teaspoons Chili Powder (more If Desired)
- 1 cup Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese
- 12 ounces, weight Mini Bell Peppers (Or Jalapenos If You Like Heat)
- 14 ounces, weight Package Little Smokies
- 12 ounces, weight Raw Bacon, Cut Into 3rds
- Toothpicks
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Whip together cream cheese, seasonings and shredded cheese in a bowl.
Cut mini peppers in half and clean out seeds. Fill each pepper half with cream cheese, tuck a Little Smokie on top and wrap a piece of bacon around it. Secure the bacon with a toothpick.
Place on a broiler pan and bake at 375 F for 30 minutes, or until the bacon is nice and crisp. Serve hot. Bet you can’t just eat one!
These are best consumed right away. They are not great reheated.
