Description
Sweet juicy strawberries, glazed in a pretzel vanilla wafer crust. Sweet and salty the perfect springtime pie!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Crushed Pretzels
- 1 cup Crushed Vanilla Wafer Cookies
- ⅓ cups Melted Butter
- 2 pints Strawberries
- 1-¼ cup Sugar
- 2-½ Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1-½ cup Water
- 1 box (3 Oz. Size) Strawberry Gelatin (Jello)
- Whipped Topping, For Decoration
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Prepare pie crust by mixing pretzels and vanilla wafers with melted butter. Press into a pie pan. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes and allow to cool.
Cut the stems off strawberries and place stem side down on the cooled pie crust.
In a small pot, stir sugar and cornstarch. Add water and bring to a boil. Simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat, add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Pour mixture over strawberries. Refrigerate until set. Decorate with whipped topping.
