An easy fajita recipe loaded with chicken and sauteed onions and peppers with a truly flavorful quick sauce. Just what you need to get dinner on the table fast.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- ½ teaspoons Cumin
- ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper (adjust To Taste)
- 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- ½ Red Onion, Sliced Into Strips
- 1 whole Red Bell Pepper, Cut Into Strips
- 1 whole Yellow Bell Pepper, Cut Into Strips
- 1 whole Green Bell Pepper, Cut Into Strips
- 1 pound Boneless Chicken Breast Cut In 1/2 Inch Strips
- ⅓ cups Water
- Corn Or Flour Tortillas, To Serve
Preparation
For the seasoning mix, combine chili powder, paprika, garlic salt, sugar, cumin, cayenne and cornstarch and set aside.
Heat oil in a large pan and saute onion and peppers for 2–5 minutes until they begin to soften. Remove veggies from pan.
Saute chicken strips 7–10 minutes until fully cooked. Add 3 tablespoons of the seasoning mix and the water to the pan, stir to combine and cook 1 minute.
Return onion and pepper to the pan and toss to coat. Serve with corn or flour tortillas.
