Description
Quince apple jam gin sour cocktail is a sweet-sour, fresh, fruity, floral and spicy gin cocktail that uses rustic quince apple jam as a sweetener and flavouring agent to balance tart lemon juice, finished with an orange twist garnish. The rustic quince apple jam recipe is available on my site and TK recipe box, and is homemade from scratch, flavoured with coriander, cinnamon, star anise, cardamom and vanilla bean.
Ingredients
- 30 milliliters Gin (I Used Poor Tom’s Strawberry Gin)
- 15 milliliters Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 2 teaspoons Rustic Quince Apple Jam (See My Blog Or TK Recipe Box)
- 5 cubes Ice
- 1 piece Orange Zest Without The Pith, To Make An Orange Twist
Preparation
Add gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, rustic quince apple jam and ice to a cocktail shaker. Seal the shaker tin. Shake for 20–30 seconds until well combined and very cold—give it a little extra shake because of the rustic chunky style jam.
Strain into prepared cocktail glass. Gently bend piece of orange zest over the cocktail glass to express the oil and twist the zest into a twist. Run the twist around the rim of the glass and garnish the finished cocktail with this orange twist.
