Description
Salty and sweet hot cocoa. Heaven in a cup.
Ingredients
- ½ cups Half-and-half
- ½ cups Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Cocoa, Rounded
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ⅛ teaspoons Coarse Sea Salt
- 4 Tablespoons Caramel, Heated And Divided
- Whipped Cream
Preparation
Heat the half-and-half and milk to scald it. You can adjust the amount of half-and-half and milk to your taste. I usually put in more half-and-half than milk to give the cocoa a richer taste. Add the cocoa and vanilla. Whisk well. Turn off heat. Sprinkle a pinch of salt in 2 tablespoons of caramel. Swirl and line the inside of the cup with the salted caramel. Pour the hot cocoa in the cup. Top with whipped cream, additional caramel sauce and the remaining salt.
