Description
Sautéed Shisito Peppers make a great snack, appetizer or side dish and are super quick to prepare.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Sunflower Oil (or Your Favorite High Smoking Point Oil)
- 1 pound Shisito Peppers
- Sea Salt
- Lemon Wedges, For Squeezing Over Top (optional)
Preparation
Heat oil in a cast iron pan over high heat. Add peppers to the pan in a single layer, with room in between the peppers. Sauté for approximately 1-2 minutes or until skin starts to blister. Turn peppers and sauté the other side. Place the cooked batches on paper towels and continue cooking until all of the peppers are sautéed. Add a splash of lemon at this point if you plan to and sprinkle with salt.
