Description
A simple and quick pepper jack mac and cheese recipe. This macaroni cheese recipe requires just 30 minutes of your time to make.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces, weight Macaroni Elbows (We Use Gluten Free)
- 2 Tablespoons Organic Butter
- ½ cups Skim Milk
- 8 ounces, weight Shredded Pepperjack Cheese
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
Preparation
Cook pasta according to box instructions. Drain and set aside.
Add butter, milk and cheese to the hot pan. Stir for a few minutes until it thickens into a sauce. Add pasta back into pan and stir until evenly combined. Season to taste and serve immediately.
Notes:
1. Optional toppings include onions, garlic, and diced red peppers sauteed in a nonstick skillet for about 3–4 minutes over medium heat.
2. You can also top this with fully cooked crumbled bacon.
3. You can also add 1 tablespoon of flour to the cheese sauce if you prefer it a little thicker or for a smoother cheese sauce.
