Description
I made the pigs in a blanket the good ol’ fashion way and then glazed them with the maple cream sauce before baking (saving some for serving as well—I can’t get enough of this stuff). My family loved them so much there were none leftover.
These would be perfect for hosting a brunch, shower, or party. But you’ll definitely need a double or even triple batch because they go fast!
Ingredients
- FOR THE MAPLE CREAM SAUCE:
- 6 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
- 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- FOR THE PIGS IN A BLANKET:
- 1 package (8 Oz. Size) Crescent Rolls
- 8 Links Chicken Maple Sausage
Preparation
For the maple cream sauce:
In a small bowl, stir to combine cream, maple syrup and salt.
For the pigs in a blanket:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Lay out each crescent triangle and top with a sausage link. Roll crescent rolls around the links. Brush with maple cream sauce.
Bake for 12–14 minutes until golden brown. Serve with remaining maple cream sauce.
