Easy and delicious fried catfish.
Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons Hot Sauce
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 8 pieces Boneless Catfish Fillets
- 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
- 2 cups Yellow Cornmeal
- 3 cups All-purpose Flour
- Vegetable Oil, As Needed For Frying
Preparation
Combine hot sauce and buttermilk in a bowl. Place catfish fillets in the mixture and let soak for 15 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine salt, old bay seasoning, cornmeal, and flour.
Heat oil in a pot until it reaches 350ºF.
Take out catfish out of the buttermilk mixture and place in the flour mixture. Fry fish fillets for about 7–8 minutes.
