Description
Spicy Watermelon Salsa is a nice alternative to standard summer salsas. It’s got just the right kick to it, and it makes a refreshing topping for grilled goodies or as a dip for chips.
Ingredients
- 3 cups Seedless Watermelon, Diced Small
- 1 whole Mango, Peeled And Diced
- 2 whole Nectarines, Pitted And Diced
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Cilantro, Torn Into Small Pieces
- ¼ cups White Onion, Diced
- 1 whole Lime, Juiced
- 1 teaspoon Habanero-infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ⅛ teaspoons Salt
Preparation
Add the fruit, cilantro and onion to a large bowl. Add the lime juice, olive oil and salt, and gently toss to coat all the ingredients.
Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend. Serve with grilled chicken or tuna, or with chips.
Note: If you do not have habanero-infused extra virgin olive oil for this recipe, simply use standard extra virgin olive oil, and add your favorite spicy pepper (about 1/4 cup, diced) to the mix.
