Description
Quick and very easy homemade jam with a touch of decadent dark chocolate balsamic vinegar. Sweet, tart, deep, rich and definitely unexpected.
Ingredients
- 1 bag (about 12 Oz. Bag) Frozen Strawberries
- ⅓ cups Water
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 Tablespoons Dark Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar (The Grapevine Olive Oil Company, Grapevine, Texas)
Preparation
Place the strawberries, water and sugar in a sauce pan; bring to a simmer. Once the strawberries are soft, mash with a potato masher, being sure to leave the strawberries chunky. Continue cooking on low heat until the liquid is reduced by half. Remove from the heat, add the vanilla and the vinegar and stir to combine.
