Description
Flavorful beef, and saucy rice topped with plenty of cheese. Easier and faster, to make than stuffed peppers!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 1 whole Onion, Diced
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 2 whole Green Bell Peppers, Diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- ¼ cups Tomato Paste
- 1 can (14 1/2 Oz. Size) Petite Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray 9×13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. Cook rice according to package directions.
In a large skillet, cook onion and ground beef until browned. Add green pepper and cook for about 4 more minutes, until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice.
Pour into prepared pan. Top with cheese. Bake for 25–30 minutes.
