Description
These donuts are beyond easy…and they taste so good! A glass of milk for dunking is a must!
Ingredients
- ½ cups Granulated Sugar
- 2-½ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- ½ cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 container Biscuit Dough (8 Ounce Refrigerated Tube)
- 1 cup Canola Oil
Preparation
Mix together the cinnamon and sugar in a small to medium sized bowl and set aside.
Put the powdered sugar in a bowl and set aside.
Remove the biscuits from the tube and poke a hole in the center of each one; then stretch the “ring” of dough out just a bit. Put these dough rings on a plate for easy access.
Heat the oil in a medium sized frying pan over medium high heat.
Put 3 of the dough rings in the hot oil at a time….(they cook really fast so you don’t want too many of them in the pan at once).
Turn over each donut when the side that is in the oil turns a light golden color. Then cook the other side to golden brown.
As soon as both sides are a golden color, remove them from the hot oil with tongs and put them into either the cinnamon sugar mixture or the powdered sugar and coat each side completely.
Set the coated donuts aside and repeat the cooking and coating process above.
These are best when eaten warm right after they are made.
