Description

I love the taste of most granola but HATE how unhealthy they can be. It is almost annoying how companies will trick you into thinking something is healthy when it is in fact harmful to your health. Store-bought granola is often filled with sugar and fat. I assure you, this following granola recipe is HEALTHY, and worthy of your breakfast bowl. I like to eat this with almond milk, but you can also nibble on it as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Oats
  • ¾ cups Quinoa (soaked For 1 Hour In Water, Drained)
  • ⅛ cups Flax Seed
  • ⅓ cups Chopped Walnuts
  • ⅓ cups Chopped Almonds
  • ¾ cups Apple Sauce
  • ⅛ cups Hot Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Agave Nectar
  • 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Molasses
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil (optional: You Can Use Another Type Of Oil As Well)
  • ¼ cups Dried Fruit (raisins Work Well)

Preparation

Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl (except for the raisins). Spread evenly on a lightly greased (if you are omitting the coconut oil) cookie sheet. You may need to use more than one baking sheet. Bake in a 350ºF oven for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes (making sure it is evenly stirred so that it does not burn). Add raisins or dried fruit after it has finished baking, let cool and enjoy!
