Description
This is a lemonade recipe fit for a five-year-old. In other words, it’s fairly sweet. It could easily be taken down a notch by decreasing the amount of sugar and soda, if you like your lemonade a little on the sour side.
Ingredients
- ¾ cups Lemon-lime Soda
- ¾ cups Sugar
- 6 whole Lemons, Juiced, Approximately 1 1/2 Cups
- 5 cups Water
- Ice Cubes
Preparation
Place the soda and the sugar in a large sauce pan (large enough to hold all 8 cups of fluid) and set on medium high heat. Cook until the sugar has completely dissolved into the soda.
Wash and juice the lemons. Strain out any seeds.
Remove the soda and sugar from the heat once it has dissolved and stir in the lemon juice. Add the cold water and ice cubes. Pour into a pitcher and chill.
