Description
This can be served for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s very simple to make and very tasty if you love Swiss cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 Unbaked Pie Crust (9-inch)
- ½ pounds Swiss Cheese, Grated
- 1 Tablespoon All-purpose Flour
- 3 whole Eggs, Well Beaten
- 1 cup Milk Or Heavy Cream
- ⅛ teaspoons Salt
- ⅛ teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Preparation
Line a pie dish with the pastry.
Dredge cheese with flour. Distribute cheese evenly into the pie dish.
Beat eggs well; mix with milk. Season lightly with salt and pepper and pour over cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes in 400 degree F oven, then reduce to 300-325 degrees F and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
Serve hot or warmed over.
