Description
Sometimes an occasion calls for more than just a glass of wine. A celebration was in order last week in our house as it was Matt’s birthday and I wanted to break out the big guns, without spending a fortune. So I looked in our bar pantry and googled recipes that contained ingredients we already had.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Agave Nectar
- ½ ounces, fluid White Tequila
- 5 ounces, fluid Extra Dry Champagne
Preparation
Pour the agave nectar into the bottom of a champagne flute. Add the white tequila. Top off with champagne.
Give it a good stir.
It sounds weird, I know. But, I’m telling you, this was a delicious cocktail. The agave nectar adds just the right amount of sweetness, without all of the calories and sugar and the combination is surprising, yet warm. I love Familia Camerena’s White Tequila and for really great quality champagne on a budget, I go for Jaume Serra Cristalino Extra Dry (only $8 at Central Market!).
