Description
This banana nut oatmeal comes together in just three minutes for a warm, hearty breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 whole Ripe Banana
- ½ cups Oats
- ½ cups Water
- ¼ cups Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Nuts (I Use Pecans)
Preparation
1. Cut the top ¼ of the banana off and set aside.
2. Over a microwave safe bowl, slice remainder of banana lengthwise, then into slices.
3. Add oats, water and milk to bowl.
4. Cook in microwave for 2 minutes.
5. While oatmeal cooks, cut reserved part of banana into small quarters.
6. Remove oatmeal from microwave. It will probably look very thin.
7. Using the back of a spoon, mash bananas and stir oatmeal until it thickens.
8. Top oatmeal with banana quarters and nuts.
You may need to adjust your cooking time depending on the power of your microwave.
