Description
A magical combination that works as a spread, a dip, a pasta sauce, or whatever strikes your fancy!
Ingredients
- ½ cups Sliced Almonds
- 14 ounces, weight Canned Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- ¼ teaspoons Salt
Preparation
1. Toast the almonds in a skillet over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes, until they are slightly brown. Let cool.
2. Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor, then process until the almonds are the size of small breadcrumbs (or until they are finely ground, if you prefer.) Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator.
