An appetizer recipe that your guests will enjoy as they await the main entree
Ingredients
- ⅔ cups Balsamic Vinegar
- 4 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 8 slices French Baguette, About 1 Inch Thick
- 4 slices Tomato, Halved
- 4 leaves (large) Spinach, Halved
- 8 slices Fresh Goat Cheese, About 1/2 Inch Thick
Preparation
Heat balsamic vinegar and maple syrup in a small skillet. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, until bubbles cover entire surface.
On a large platter, place baguette slices in a row and top with tomato, then spinach and goat cheese. Drizzle balsamic glaze over top of each stack. If glaze gets thick, reheat and add a little more maple syrup.
