Description

Not your typical tutti frutti, this is a simple, tropical ice cream made with lemons, oranges, and bananas. Egg-free, no-cook base. Refreshing for the Fourth of July and all summer long.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 2 pints Whipping Cream
  • 3  Lemons, Juiced, Reserve A Small Amount Of Pulp
  • 3  Oranges, Juiced, Reserve A Small Amount Of Pulp
  • 3  Bananas, Mashed
  • 2 quarts Half-and-half

Preparation

In a large bowl, whisk sugar with whipping cream. Stir in lemon juice and pulp, orange juice and pulp, and mashed bananas.

Pour into a 4-quart ice cream canister with paddle in place. Pour half-and-half into canister and stir. Process according to your ice cream maker’s manufacturing instructions.

Pour into freezer-safe containers and store in freezer.
