Egg whites give this whiskey sour inspired cocktail a velvety smooth texture that you will adore! It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?
Ingredients
- Ice
- 2 whole Basil Leaves
- 1 teaspoon Sliced Fresh Serrano Or Fresno Chiles
- 2 whole Raw, Organic, Free Range Egg Whites
- 4 ounces, fluid Rye Whiskey
- 2 ounces, fluid Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 ounce, fluid Real Maple Syrup
- 4 drops Bitters
- Blood Orange Soda For Topping
Preparation
Fill a cocktail shaker ⅓ full with ice. Add basil, chiles, egg whites, whiskey, lemon juice, maple syrup, and bitters to the shaker. Fill 12-ounce glasses with crushed ice.
Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously (with the lid on!) for 30 seconds to a minute. Strain into the glasses, top with blood orange soda, garnish with an orange peel, fresh basil leaves, and slices of serrano or Fresno chiles.
